What is Navratri?
Navratri, meaning “Nine Nights,” is a Hindu festival celebrated annually. It honors the divine feminine energies and the triumph of good over evil.
Each day is dedicated to a different forms of the Maa Durga, symbolizing the journey from darkness to light.
Why Navratri?
Navratri holds deep spiritual and cultural significance. It is a time for prayers and reflection, allowing devotees to seek the blessings of Maa Durga. It also signifies the changing seasons, starting of joyous arrival of fall.
Different part of India celebrate is little differently – Garba and Dandiya Raas dances in west to traditional “Golu” displays in the South to the grand processions in the North.
